Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar on Friday said that the Congress and Goa Forward Party are yet to hold discussions regarding their alliance for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters, Chodankar said no meeting has yet taken place with Goa Forward MLA Vijai Sardesai and clarified that any decision regarding the continuation of the alliance would be taken only after discussions are held at the appropriate time.
“The Congress-Goa Forward alliance has not yet discussed the upcoming Assembly elections. We have not yet met MLA Vijai. Decisions will be taken after discussions at the right time,†Chodankar said.
His statement comes days after Goa Forward leader Vijai Sardesai indicated uncertainty over the future of the alliance with the Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.
