World food Safety Day is observed on 7th June annually to draw attention to the prevention, detection and management of food borne risks and to promote nutritious eating culture. The Theme for 2026 is “from burden to solution- safe food everywhere” this theme emphasizes translating the global health challenge of unsafe food into evidence-based safety measures across the food supply chain. The Directorate recently launched three unique & important initiatives to promote Food Safety & eating right in the State of Goa.
