In
a proud moment for Goan cricket, three talented players from the Goa
Cricket Association have been selected to participate in the
prestigious BCCI U-19 Girls Inter CoE Tournament 2026, which will be
held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru from May 30 to
June 10, 2026.
The selected players are:
• Vidhi
Bhandare
• Usma
• Harshita Yadav
Former Ranji player
and GCA President Mahesh Dessai, along with GCA Secretary Tulshidas
Shetye and the entire GCA Managing Committee, congratulated the
players on their remarkable achievement and wished them success in
the upcoming tournament.
The association stated that the
selection of these young cricketers reflects the growing strength and
potential of women’s cricket in Goa. It also highlights the
continuous efforts undertaken by the Goa Cricket Association in
identifying, training, and nurturing young talent at the grassroots
level.
The Goa Cricket Association extended its best wishes to
the players and expressed confidence that they would make Goa proud
with their performances at the national level.
