FIFA world cup 2026 media rights in India have been secured by Zee Entertainment. This comes as good news for Indian football fans as they will be able to watch all matches live via Zee’s television network and streaming platform ZEE5. With Zee Entertainment securing the broadcasting rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026 after months of uncertainty and speculation, Zee has also announced that four dedicated sports channels would be introduced to telecast premium football content.
This also includes all matches of the upcoming World Cup, which are scheduled to kick off on June in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The company has agreed to an eight-year deal with the football governing body, which will also let them cover the next men’s World Cup in 2030, the Women’s World Cup 2027, and other FIFA competitions during this period. Jiostar was also in the race for the World Cup media rights in India. However, their offer of $20-25 million was reportedly not enough to seal the deal.
