While Goenkar is known for his hospitality around the world, his connect and affection towards his neighbours has always been talked about. One such relation of kindness is displayed by residents of Dhacktalem, Vasco, who travel to a place called Aweda-Pophalwadi in Castlerock Karnataka every year on Gudi Padwa. The team visit the Nagnath temple at Aweda village to attend the Satyanarayan Mahapooja held annualy. They carry their musical instruments Ghumat, Shamel and Kasale to perform arti there as their devotion to the deity. The Goa Travels took this opportunity to explore this unique culture of friendship and devotion.
