Bakri Eid, also known as Eid-ul-Adha, was celebrated across Goa with devotion, prayers, and a festive spirit on Thursday. Thousands of members from the Muslim community gathered at mosques and Eidgahs in various parts of the state to offer special prayers marking the occasion.

People dressed in traditional attire exchanged greetings of “Eid Mubarak” and participated in family gatherings and community feasts. Religious leaders highlighted the importance of sacrifice, compassion, and charity, which are central to the festival.

In several areas, community members distributed food and sweets among relatives, friends, and the needy. Police and local authorities had made necessary arrangements near major prayer venues to ensure smooth celebrations.
