The most holy week of the season of lent commenced on Sunday as Catholics observed "Palm Sunday". Catholics gathered at churches, chapels and shrines across Goa to attend the Sunday service as the Priest blessed the Palms and read the Word of God.
The Priests explained to the faithful the relevance of Palm Sunday and requested them to keep their hearts prepared for the Holy Week in his homily. He also told them to observe penance and go for confession as preparation to observe the last supper on Maundy Thursday along with the passion and death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday.
He mentioned that this will help them to keep their hearts prepared to celebrate the ressurection of Jesus Christ next week on Easter Sunday.
