Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has expressed concern over the growing number of diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity cases in Goa, stating that the figures are higher than the national average.
Addressing an event, the Chief Minister urged people to adopt healthier lifestyles by reducing sugar and oil consumption, avoiding outside food and soft drinks, and exercising regularly.
“Diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity cases in Goa are higher than the national average. People should reduce sugar and oil intake, avoid outside food and soft drinks, and exercise regularly,†Sawant said.
He further appealed to citizens to collectively work towards building a healthier and fitter Goa.
