The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has decided to provide hygiene and food safety training to street food vendors across Goa under a special initiative aimed at improving food handling standards and consumer safety.

As part of the initiative, vendors will undergo ‘FoSTaC’ (Food Safety Training and Certification) training designed to educate them on hygiene practices, safe food preparation, storage, and cleanliness.

The announcement was made during a special programme organised jointly by the FDA and the Institute of Nursing Education on the occasion of Food Safety Day.
