Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has raised concern over Goa’s worsening health indicators, stating that cases of obesity, diabetes and blood pressure-related illnesses are increasing rapidly among Goans.
Speaking about the state’s health scenario, the Chief Minister said Goa’s health survey index is “very bad†and the situation is more serious compared to several other states.
To address lifestyle-related diseases, the government has launched the “Health with Ayurveda†campaign across Goa. CM Sawant appealed to citizens to actively participate and take advantage of the initiative.
According to the Chief Minister, nearly 25,000 people have already benefited from the campaign so far.
